Biowell, im on here mostly for reading fanfics, stories, and for a few communities im interested in. i love a good read, so if you've got anything you might reccomend, tell me. i use this both as a personal journal, as well as to post my projects and book/fanfic reccomendations.
about me:
im a 19 year old girl who's love of books, reading, and words in general will probably be the death of me. i greatly resemble L from deathnote, down to the monkey feet and eye bags ( although not as pronounced.) as well as social ineptitude and sadly, now, posture. i find the resemblence frightening and amuseing, and im actually kinda glad i grew out my hair, as the girl L jokes get old. fast. ( imagine getting mobbed at a minor convention and being asked why i was cosplaying L without eye makeup and a white tee) atleast its no longer harry potter. i dislike that book series a bit, since after the fourth book j.k rowling didnt want to write it anymore, but was forced to write all 7 books due to contract. and damn it showed in the dark downward spiral.
i dislike the idea of a book being forced against an authors will, as a story, to me, is a visual image of a passionate authors soul. it just shouldnt be done that way. freedom to express oneself, or if one so chooses to, not to express oneself, is a right i believe everyone has.
im lazy, which probably applies to most everything except reading. i read like a starveing man eats, and love mythology, folklore and history. if i could make good money off it, i'd probably be a historian or an ethenologist, but i know thats a mostly low paying career or volunteer work.
i love character discussions, book discussions, and friendly debate. i am very opinionated, but i also believe that the first step to a peaceful society is acceptance. if someone doesnt believe in your god, in your morals, etc, well then, fine. but dont go and try to force them, cause thats just childish. we all have a right to our own beliefs, and i dont believe in hateing things such as if someones wants to bang the same sex or even if their culture has traditions you see as morally wrong or morbid. we were all raised differently, so its pretty normal to have different perspectives. so if your looking for someone to argue with, dont talk to me. friendly debate? fine. i love that. but random flames and hatred arnt my thing. just a small warning to those of you who converse with me: i dont put out when it comes to people looking for a fight.
